Cool Hot Mint Tea / Pudina Chai Recipe
Mint (Pudina in Hindi) serves as a cool blessing in summers, especially with the increasingly soaring temperatures every year. And for those of us who can't do without a cup of tea in the afternoon, mint sure is a boon.
I had mint tea for the first time at Samovar restaurant (Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai) thanks to my dear friend Varsha. And ever since I have become a fan of mint tea!
It will be only unfair not to share the recipe of this cool hot beverage with you guys. So here we go:
Ingredients (mint tea for two):
Mint Tea Preparation:
Tip: Remember to use extra water (2.5 cups to prepare 2 cups of tea) as some will be used up during the boiling process with mint leaves.

Ingredients (mint tea for two):
- Water - 2.5 cups
- Fresh mint / pudina leaves - 1/2 cup (properly washed and loose)
- Tea powder - 2 tsp
- Milk - as per choice
- Sugar - 2 tsp or as per taste
Mint Tea Preparation:
- Boil water with mint leaves for around 3-4 minutes over medium flame. The water gets a greenish colour by this time.
- Add tea leaves and sugar.
- After another 2-3 minutes, add milk as per your preference.
- Give just one boil.
- And it's ready to sip!

I have tried Elaichi chai, but this is new...will try :)
Elaichi chai is my favorite too! Did you try cinnamon-pepper one too? It's amazing too! Will post the recipe soon
